William Anderson

Director of City and Regional Planning

William (Bill) Anderson, FAICP, is a national Director of City & Regional Planning at AECOM, focused on comprehensive planning, urban economics, and implementation.  Previously, he was Planning Director and a former Chair of the Planning Commission for the City of San Diego, and a Senior VP with Economics Research Associates, working nationally and internationally.  From 2013-15, Bill was national President of the 38,000 member American Planning Association, and currently is a member of the California Planning Roundtable.  He is a full member of ULI and its Urban Revitalization Council, and served on the founding board of the San Diego-Tijuana District Council.  Bill is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College and Harvard University.
