Leveraging Criterion 3 Changes to Focus on Continuous Improvement of Assessment Processes

The move to revised Student Outcomes in Criteria 3 can be the impetus needed to reengage faculty in reviewing their current assessment processes. This includes the development of performance indicators, focus on the alignment of the curriculum, choice of assessment methods and the evaluation of results. This session will capitalize on the experience of one program and emphasize the progress made and work still to be completed to achieve good assessment practices. A special emphasis will be made on how the data can be presented to faculty in a way that engages deep thinking about student learning and how it can be improved.
