For the first time, the Symposium will have guest passes for your companions. The guest pass allows access to attend the welcome reception, opening and closing plenaries, all networking breaks and group meals. The guest pass does not include access to breakout sessions or the Self-Study Room.

Fundamentals of Program Assessment Workshop

This introductory interactive session focuses on designing program educational objectives, making student outcomes measurable, creating rubrics, and analyzing assessment data. Designed to give you the tools to develop your assessment process, this workshop is your first step toward formulating an efficient program assessment plan.

The workshop focuses primarily on ABET Criterion 2: Program Educational Objectives, Criterion 3: Student Outcomes, and Criterion 4: Continuous Improvement.

Advanced Program Assessment Workshop

Building off of the principles taught in Fundamentals of Program Assessment, this interactive workshop takes a closer look at program assessment. Designed to refine an already solid assessment process, this workshop will have you take a deeper look into the elements of a conceptual model for continuous improvement, use case studies to Evaluate PEOs, and engage in activities that will teach you to critique the characteristics of well-defined Student Outcomes.

This workshop is for those who have already attended Fundamentals of Program Assessment or IDEAL.

Self-Study Development Workshop (Symposium Registrants Only)

In this workshop, our Adjunct Accreditation Directors will walk you through every step of preparing your program’s Self-Study Report. This document is the foundation of your accreditation review, so make sure it is the best representation of your program’s total learning experience.

Where to Stay

The 2020 ABET Symposium will be held at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel, a luxury haven located in the heart of downtown Nashville, conveniently attached to 5th + Broadway and moments from attractions like Bridgestone Arena and Music Row.

Symposium attendees will be able to reserve rooms at the discounted rate of $245 (plus taxes and fees). Rooms will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and tend to sell out, so it is strongly recommended to place your reservation early.
