This panel discusses the challenges and opportunities encountered when working in the rapidly growing field of cybersecurity, with an emphasis on women in the field. The panelists bring a breadth and depth of experience and leadership perspectives from industry, government, and academia. Drawing on their experiences, panelists will discuss strategies for both men and women to successfully advise and mentor women considering or already working in the field of cybersecurity. Panelists will also discuss their experience with programs designed to broaden the appeal of cybersecurity to students and to provide opportunities for women across the cybersecurity community to share ideas and provide mutual support. The panel will include a question and answer session with the audience. After the panel, attendees should be more skilled at advising, mentoring, and inspiring women studying cybersecurity and working in cybersecurity and related fields.
