A team of evaluators visits the program facility where they verify the information in the Self-Study Report and conduct interviews with students, faculty members, administrators and advisory board members. A draft statement is then written based on the team’s experience on this visit. An on-site visit is one of the most important events throughout the accreditation cycle. The presenters have many years of experience as accreditation commission editors, team chairs and Program Evaluators. This interactive session will discuss best practices in preparing for an on-site visit, logistics for the visit, the arrangement of the display materials area and how to prepare for the interviews. It is intended for those who are involved in preparing for or participating in an ABET accreditation commission visit during the 2020-21 or 2021-22 cycle. Participants interact with presenters to explore current best practices in the ABET accreditation commissions.
