Associate Dean and Professor of Materials Engineering, Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, Auburn University
Jeffrey Fergus is associate dean for program assessment and graduate studies and professor of materials engineering in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering at Auburn University. He received a B.S. in metallurgical engineering from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Fergus has served ABET as a Program Evaluator (PEV), Team Chair and is currently Chair-Elect of the Engineering Accreditation Commission. He is involved in various aspects of preparing volunteers for accreditation activities including serving as a PEV Mentor and Facilitator for PEV Face-to-Face Training.
