Tebbie Lin Chacón is a chemical engineer with a master’s degree in process design and management, with experience in management, technology transfer and research and development projects in the agro industrial and energy sectors, with an orientation to set up and standardize operations as well as the introduction of new technologies and procedures to increase efficiency and competitiveness. She is currently the Chemical Engineering Program Director at Universidad de La Sabana, where her main responsibilities lie with curriculum quality assurance and accreditation processes. As a teacher in the Chemical Engineering department, she works closely with students to introduce them to the methods of process design, its intricacies and problem solving methods, as well as to help them develop skills that will allow them to learn to work as a productive member of a team, develop leadership skills and responsibility. She also has ample experience in research and development activities, and in laboratory and pilot plant operation, including procedures in analytical chemistry and bio-processing, oriented to developing and standardizing methods as well as testing protocols for particular applications based on research papers and patents.
