Call For Proposals

If you are impacting the future of STEM education and are interested in leading a session, we want to hear from you. We are now accepting proposals in four focus areas:

How are you preparing your institution, program, and students to address the current and future challenges of protecting internet-connected systems, including hardware, software and data, from cyber attacks? Have you taken the role of an active adversary in your teaching and programs to ensure security? Have you integrated security themes into engineering, engineering technology or applied science programs, in addition to computing? Highlight any projects or curriculum innovations that relate to the many topics associated with cybersecurity.

Highlight best practices in program assessment by sharing your framework and the lessons learned along the way.

Sustainable Development

Sustainable development is defined as meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. Sustainable development seeks to maintain a balance between its three main pillars: social development, economic development and environmental protection. Obtaining a quality education is the foundation for creating sustainable development. Sessions in this focus area demonstrate examples of these pillars integrating into a curriculum. Successful proposals should highlight projects that relate to the NAE Grand Challenges and/or the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and show how you are preparing your students to create solutions to combat climate change, improve accessibility and reduce inequality.

Share your unique experience incorporating the ABET accreditation processes and procedures into your program. Include productive tips and narrate your view of the key success factors and expected setbacks.
