Learning and Leading Together: Global Quality Assurance
We invite you to submit a presentation proposal for The ABET Symposium, taking place April 8-9, 2027 in Seattle, Washington, USA.
This year’s theme, Learning and Leading Together: Global Quality Assurance, inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, will explore how quality education and seeking global perspectives can strengthen our ability to address challenges through meaningful collaboration across cultures, disciplines and professional communities.
Our hope is that every participant leaves with a renewed appreciation for the value of differing perspectives and a strengthened commitment to working collaboratively to advance quality in education to build a better world.
Call for Proposals Focus Areas
ACCREDITATION
From those navigating ABET processes for the first time to experienced professionals refining their approach, presenters will share their accreditation stories, best practices and lessons learned along the way.
ASSESSMENT
Share effective assessment practices, innovative approaches and insights that can help others strengthen their programs.
CREDENTIALS
Examine how credentials can create new pathways for learning, skill development and professional growth beyond traditional degrees.
LEARNING AND LEADING TOGETHER: GLOBAL QUALITY ASSURANCE

Submission Requirements
Below are the Call for Proposals submission requirements for ABET Symposium 2027:
- Title: 10 words or less
- Abstract: 1500 characters or less
- Learning Objective: 300 characters or less
- Biography: 750 characters or less
- Session Length: 45 min, including Q&A
- Panel Option: Indicate openness to panel discussions
Proposals are due by Friday, Oct. 30.
